Child and Adult Psychiatry

Sandy Plains Pediatrics is pleased to offer Child Psychiatry services to our patients. Mental heath is just as important as physical health. Many times, stress has a way for showing up as a physical problem like a headache or stomach ache. Problems like temper tantrums, anger meltdowns, or prolonged sadness can also be signs of very treatable medical problems.

Dr. Vincent Ho (child and adult psychiatrist) has years of experience treating medical problems like ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and Autism. Contact us for an appointment if you think your family may be interested in an evaluation and treatment.  Sara Moore, PMHNP joined the practice in April of 2020.  Allison Gilley, PMHNP joined us in March of 2021.

About Us

Dr. Vincent Ho

Dr. Vincent Ho graduated from Harvard University and the University of Alabama-Birmingham Medical School. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Alabama and went on to complete adult and child psychiatry training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Adult and Child Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Prior to practice here, he was awarded funding by the National Institutes of Health to create multimedia education projects about childhood mood disorders, autism, alcoholism, and suicide prevention.

Dr. Ho treats children, teenagers, and adults at our office. He specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety problems, OCD, bipolar disorder, autism, and ADHD. We are fortunate that he provides treatment for both the children and parents that are seen in our practice as well as other adult patients from the community.

The Drs. Ho have three adult children – two males and one transgender female.  He has finally found peace with his Red Sox and enjoys dinner and a movie at any time.
